Target 100
We can’t encourage others to recycle unless we’re making every effort to do it ourselves. The aspirational goal of our Target 100 recycling program is to eliminate 100% of the waste in our production facilities and divert it to the recycling stream. All legacy Coca-Cola Enterprises production plants in the United States and Canada have been trained and equipped for Target 100 and in 2011 they averaged diverting 95% of their waste - almost 152 million pounds - from landfills!
Sixty-three production facilities participated in Target 100 during 2011 and seven achieved a 100% diversion rate – congratulations to Elmsford, Hartford, Silver Spring, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Brampton and Weston for hitting Target 100!
Nineteen legacy Coca-Cola North America production facilities are ramping up for Target 100 and by the end of 2012 all Coca-Cola Refreshments plants will be competing for the coveted Target 100 “Top Dog” award for excellence in recycling.
