9/15/2010 - Denver Broncos Game Plan Green
The Denver Broncos want you to “get caught green handed”. Invesco Field, home of the Denver Broncos football team, was the site of a huge recycling effort coordinated by the Coke Team. Coke employees and “Game Plan Green” volunteers wrapped 300 barrels and placed them throughout the concourses in Invesco Field.
In an effort to increase recycling at the field, Coke has printed up custom drink koozies sporting the “Game Plan Green” logo as a reminder to recycle your cold drink bottles and cans. Volunteer student groups will be handing out these koozies to tailgaters at all games. Coke’s Recycling Education Vehicle will be onsite at the October 24th game to give away koozies and award prizes for fans recycling knowledge. Approximately 150,000 bottles and cans of Coke products are sold during the season at Invesco Field in addition to fountain drinks. Coke and the Denver Broncos hope that this initiative will spur a greater recycling effort from Bronco fans.
