7/10/2010 - Calgary Stampede Recycles
The Coca-Cola Bottling Company made it easy for fans of the Calgary Stampede to help the environment while enjoying “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” More than 80 Coca-Cola identified recycling bins were placed around Stampede Park to encourage fans to recycle their used beverage containers. It was an effective way to work together with an average of 120,000 daily visitors to lend a hand in “greening up” the environment.
This initiative helped to solidify the ongoing relationship between Coke and the Calgary Stampede, a community organization dedicated to preserving western heritage and values.
In keeping with the Stampede’s spirit of having fun while learning, the Coca-Cola Recycling Educational Vehicle (REV) was on-site engaging participants in various contests and rewarding their knowledge of recycling while entertaining fans with videos and music.
