10/10/2010 - Atlanta Beat/KSU Stadium Goes Green
The new Kennesaw State University, home of Atlanta’s Women’s Professional Soccer Team, Atlanta Beat,
hosted a recycle bin placement party on September 29. Atlanta Beat owner, T. Fitz Johnson, stated that the KSU Soccer Stadium “will be the only women’s soccer-specific stadium of its kind in the world,” and will host all Beat home games for the team’s 2010 inaugural season.
T. Fitz Johnson was on hand to help wrap and place barrel recycling bins along with bottle and corrugated bins throughout the stadium, locker rooms and suites.
The stadium will accommodate not only Atlanta Beat games but also the KSU Owls women’s soccer program and act as a concert venue. The recycling efforts for all fans and participants will be served thanks to this combined effort by Coke and Kennesaw State.
